Paid Time Off
At Selective we enjoy nine pre-determined paid holidays per year along with a flexible “bank” of paid time off. This may be used for vacation, sickness, personal activities or emergencies. We also offer paid leaves of absence for bereavement leave, military duty, and jury duty.
Selective believes that educational opportunities may benefit both employees and the Company. Selective provides a Tuition Assistance Program to eligible employees to help cover the cost of work-related college courses as well as work-related degree programs. Subject to eligibility and program limits, Selective will reimburse the employee for tuition, required fees and books.
The company may reimburse up to 80% of the eligible charges an employee incurs, up to a maximum of $3,000, for each adoption per family.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Selective’s Employee Assistance Program is provided through Liberty Mutual. The EAP provides assistance in coping with a variety of personal and professional problems. It can help with issues related to emotional well being, finances, addiction and recovery, legal matters, work, family care and more. All calls are strictly confidential.
Selective may at times offer a monetary award to eligible employees who refer applicants who are later hired for certain positions within the company.
Flexible Work Schedules
By providing flexible work arrangements, Selective can help address the varied needs of employees. Flexible work schedules may, depending on staffing requirements, include compressed work schedules, telecommuting and flex time.
Employee Anniversary Observances
Every five years, Selective provides a gift in recognition of your years of service to the company. Special recognition is given to employees who celebrate their 25th anniversary with the company.
