3/5/2012 - Ford wins several loyalty awards
For the second year in a row, Ford took home top honors for consumer loyalty among automakers.
Officials from Ford were presented with the honor at the 16th annual Polk Automotive Loyalty Awards ceremony that was held in Detroit.
That wasn't the only distinction Ford was credited with, however. It was also presented with awards for overall loyalty to manufacturer, overall loyalty to make and the F-Series truck lineup for one for best mid- to full-size pickups.
"We are honored that our customers continue to choose our products," said Ken Czubay, vice president of sales and service for Ford. "Each day, Ford endeavors to gain their loyalty and advocacy by providing choices, fuel economy, smart technology and safety."
A vehicle's make and model may be among the things auto insurance
providers take into consideration when assessing rates.
For the automotive industry, loyalty is defined as when a household that owns a certain vehicle decides to buy one of the same makes or models the next time they're in the market for a new car.
