Oregon Wildfire Emergency Order

On July 31, 2026, the Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services (DCBS), Division of Financial Regulation, issued a Wildfire Emergency Order following Governor Tina Kotek's statewide state of emergency (Executive Order 26‑10). The Order directs property and casualty insurers to provide temporary relief to policyholders in wildfire‑affected areas.

Effective dates: July 31, 2026 through August 30, 2026

For policies covering a risk in the affected areas, the Order requires insurers to extend claim reporting deadlines, provide a premium grace period, and suspend cancellations and nonrenewals for the duration of the Order.
