North Carolina Emergency Order:  On October 12, 2016, the North Carolina Department of Insurance issued Bulletin 16-B-07 and the associated Order as a result of Hurricane Matthew.  The Order activates a 90-day stay of proof of loss requirements, premium and debt deferrals, loss adjustments for separate windstorm policies, and any policy or contract provision that imposes a time limit for insured, claimant or customer to perform any act during the time period covered by the Order. South Carolina Emergency Order: An additional grace period on payment due dates, cancellation and non-renewals and responses to underwriting requests will be considered to those impacted by the recent storm. More Details.
